Becoming Parents of Musicians
Parents of musicians aspiring for greatness should already know a few things about their aspiring musicians. You have to know what kind of music they like, you also with need to know what they pacifically like about music, you need to know weather your kids think your opinion is cool and respectable or droll and rejectable. If you are cool in your kid’s eyes then you already know what kind of music they like and what instrument your future musician is interested in.
Parents of musicians who are not consider cool in your child eyes well, hmm, ok I mean who is to say why that is, who's to blame for it, or even how you can know for sure. I guess each person knows for them selves if their little aspiring musicians think they are cool or not, but if your not cool that does not mean you need to stop being a good parent. The best part about being a good parent is you get to use your weaknesses as greatnesses and even if you’re the only one who will understand how cool reverse psychology is for years to come; All you un=hipsters can still do a lot to be the truly awesome and inspirational parents of musicians you have in you to be.
To the parents of aspiring artists: I say BEWARE! while I am no stranger to the hip hop development and will go on to say quite judgmentally; there is no music for scrounging up drugs like the hippity hoppity womanizing trash; that is pumped out of a self named owner's overpriced computer, some things about hip hop should be taken into consideration by the parents of musicians.
Now keep in mind I say hip hop atracts drugs with no sport or tolerance to the hip hop culture. Thats just me I mean there are even those who disagree and say that digital beats and rhythms are as much as musical art as where some symphonies composed of instrumental orchestras. While I don’t really agree with all of that noise, I really don't support the paranoid, buy gold teeth now and the instantly gratified sexual messages that the hip hop culture of today seems to effortlessly push; hip hop music is a great way to get children excited about the technical world displacing our old world right before our eyes. What way is better to help fortify our children to the society of tomorrow that will most likely be completely integrated with computers. I know what your thinking… “Whatever Mrs. Jones you're just saying that because its cheaper to buy a child a copy of some beatporgram then a piano or guitar” right? And while a beatporgram is much cheaper then other forms of musical conveyance coming into American homes these days the reason I love it is for the head phones.
There is a lot of choices for parents of musicians but part of being a good parent is listing to your child about their interests and goals. Don’t let money stop you from talking about it. Use every tool you can to help motivate you child. To be a aspiring musicians parent you can simply inspire and respect you little artist's dreams.
beat programs and music software are great - but they just don't have the same soul as live music. Also, a decent music program will be just as expensive OR MORE EXPENSIVE than a basic guitar or keyboard. and keyboards can be used with headphones too, so your little artist can have some privacy while he or she is pounding out a masterpiece.
